Courses and Workshops

As well as guided birding tours, Birds & Nature also organize birdwatching courses and workshops.
The courses are recognized by and co-organized with the Portuguese Institute for Nature Conservation and Biodiversity (ICNB) www.icnb.pt and the workshops are organized in partnership with municipal and other bodies. Both the courses and workshops are part theory and part practical, the former based mainly on relevant photographs and sound recordings, the latter putting theory into practice in the field. The courses usually run for two days over a weekend and are normally limited to 20 participants; workshops are for one day with a maximum of 24 participants.

The price for a course or workshop includes full-time technical assistance from leaders, who are experts in their field, a manual, a species checklist, a diploma, free use of binoculars, telescopes and field guides, entrance fees for entry to private or protected areas, participant's accident insurance and VAT.
