Photographic Tours

Interest in nature photography, bird photography in particular, has markedly increased in recent years, thanks to, among several factors, the development of digital photographic optics, permitting close-ups with superb definition and crisp resolution. Perhaps because of these breakthroughs, never have we been so aware of the importance of habitat and an intimate knowledge of where to go, when to go and how to do so, while still obeying the country-side code where the bird comes first; this is where Birds & Nature’s photographic tours has the edge: we are specialists, devoted to conservation, but equally devoted to getting you to the best places at the best times for that shot of a lifetime!

Depending on demand, these photographic tours can be organized when and where you want them, from the estuaries of the west coast to the rolling hills of the south and the dramatic cliff scenery of the south-western capes.
Birds & Nature can organize species-specific or site-specific tours in Portugal, or at such sites as Doñana or Monfrague, in Spain.
Let us know what you want and we can send you information on the species you most want to photograph, together with a price list for each trip.
Don’t forget the pelagic trips which we also organize; these trips can be a wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with seabirds.

As already stated, all trips are organized with the proviso that the welfare of the birds comes first; at Birds & Nature we adhere to this ideal; as insiders, we know that the best way to see and photograph birds is to know the habitat, know the birds and the rest comes naturally!
