Both the courses and workshops are part theory and part practical, the former based mainly on relevant photographs and sound recordings, the latter putting theory into practice in the field. The courses usually run for two days over a weekend and are normally limited to 20 participants; workshops are for one day and are also normally limited to 20 participants.
